Since making their debut in 2016, Alix Perez’s 1985 Music Imprint has taken the Drum & Bass world by storm. Since their first release with DRS and Spectrasoul, the label has built their brand of Drum & Bass, which is heavily influenced by Alix Perez’s adventures in a variety of genres, and the label has been successful in promoting all things Drum & Bass and everything in between.
Along with releasing groundbreaking music from the finest Drum & Bass artists, the label has also thrived on releasing diverse compilations, and they have been successful in delivering cutting edge music in all the compilations released until now.
Similar to their Folio series, the label had assembled the ‘Edition’ series back in 2017, which featured Alix Perez’s favorite artists operating within the 85bpm / 170bpm axis along with some of the freshest talents hand-picked by Alix Perez.
After racking up two successful compilations, 1985 have returned with the third installment of their Edition series, and this time they have done a one-up on their previous editions.
‘Edition 3’ features tracks from label regulars like Visages, Monty, Bredren along with some industry heavyweights like Machinedrum, Ternion Sound, Deft, and Alix Perez himself.
1985 have already given us a glimpse of the compilation with two stunning tunes from Alix Perez and hyped us for what’s to come. ‘Edition 3’ will be out on June 5, 2020, so keep your eyes peeled.
